There are many different styles of wedge shoes, some more popular than others.

Classic Open Toed Wedges
In the late 70s and early 80s, peep toes have made quite an impression in the fashion scene. Practically all shoe brands made sure that they have this particular style in order to stay within fad. The most important advantage of the peep toe wedge shoe is that it looks incredibly flattering on a woman's feet.
The drawback however is that you will have to maintain a clean feet and toenails otherwise the wedges would just look cheap on you.

This particular emanation wedge shoes is definitely one of the most popular. Some women prefer their shoes to be not too constricting which is exactly what sling backs provide. The disadvantages of course are that sling backs are a little too casual and can go loose while you are walking which may cause accidents.
